Create a UN host entity account

First, click here

This takes you to the sign up page.

Click 'sign up now'

Enter your UN email address

It's really important you use your official UN email address.

You will be the 'account owner'. You can switch this role with another user later, if needed.

Click 'send verification code'

This sends an email to your UN email address with a code to copy and paste.

Copy the code

Copy the numeric code in the email sent to your UN email address.

Enter the code

Paste or type the code from your email here.

Click 'verify code'

Type your password

Create a password for UVP

Confirm the new password

Type the same password again

Type your first name

Type your last name

Enter your date of birth

Enter your gender

Confirm you accept the terms of use and privacy policy

Click 'create'

Choose 'I'm an entity'

This is really important. You must choose I'm an entity to be able to recruit UN Volunteers.

Click continue

Your task dashboard

The first tab you see when you log in is your task dashboard. Tasks are actions that you need to complete in UVP to help move through the UN Volunteer recruitment and management processes.

HE Pending

At this stage you have host entity pending status. This is because UNV needs to approve your account before you can perform any actions.

First let's complete your profile

This is your very first task. Click it to begin.

Task description

Here you can see a description of the task.

Click 'complete' 

This takes you to your profile

Choose 'United Nations'

Enter the organisation name

This will likely be the name of your UN organisation plus the country.

Upload your logo

Enter phone information

This would be generic phone information for your office.

Enter your office address

Enter your city

Enter the country/territory

Add mission and objectives

These should be corporate level objectives as well as anything specific for the country or department associated with this account.

It will appear on any descriptions of assignment you create.

Additional information

Enter anything additional that UNV should know about your organisation account.

Choose your acronym

Choose the acronym for your UN organisation from the dropdown menu.

Click submit

When all is complete. Click submit.

Click complete 

This confirms the profile update and sends to UNV for review.
