HE Request reassignment

Welcome! Through this guide we will take you through the steps to request the reassignment to a new duty station of a serving UN Volunteer.

Start by clicking on the Assignments tab. 

Search for the serving UN Volunteer who will be reassigned to a new duty station. 

Here you can verify that you are in the correct assignment details page. 

This area shows more information about the assignment and the UN Volunteer.

In the right-hand section, you will find the currently available related actions and tasks to you as the Host Entity. 

Let's take a look at the reassignment form and process. 

The reassignment form is straightforward and requires you to enter the new duty station where the UN Volunteer will serve. It also asks for the effective date of the reassignment, meaning from which date on the UN Volunteer will start at the new duty station. 

The form also requires you to confirm that the UN Volunteer has been involved in the decision and has agreed with the reassignment.

This only shows duty stations in the country of assignment.

Click here if the new duty station is not the country of assignment. 

You can enter the new duty station in the free text field.

Effective date of entry on duty at the new duty station. 

Confirmation of agreement with the UN Volunteer. 

This is a mandatory field and the request cannot be made without confirming this.

This link will take you to the proforma calculator. 

And finally, this field allows you to enter any additional information to your request.

This will be visible to UNV staff when reviewing the reassignment request.

Finally, click on submit. 

UNV staff will receive this request, and either approve it, or send it back to you for changes or to make amends.

And click on complete!

As you can see, the related action to request a reassignment is no longer available, while the first one is under review. 

Should the reassignment be either approved or rejected, you will be informed of the decision via email. 

If further input is required, you will be informed of this as well.
